The Department of Cultural Resources/New Hampshire State Library is seeking a full-time Librarian II the State Library in Concord, NH

SCOPE OF WORK
Provides reference services; organizes legislative materials in a system that makes the material readily usable by attorneys, judges and the public.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

? Staffs general reference desk: responds to inquiries received in person, via the telephone and e-mail; and instructs and aids patrons in using print and electronic resources at the library.
? Attends professional library conferences, training session and other meetings to maintain professional competence
? Obtains information from reference resources in a variety of formats, including print, microform, and electronic.
? Indexes bills as introduced in the NH General Court.
? Indexes the NH House and Senate Journals (Subject and Numerical indexes)
? Indexes the annual session laws
? Indexes the bills index for the bound volumes of NH annual session bills introduced
? Indexes the NH operating budget
? Contributes to the New Hampshire Index created and compiled by Reference staff

MINIMUM QUALIFAICATIONS:

Education: Master?s degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Two years? experience in professional library work.
Employees are required to pay an agency/union fee.
